Questions and Answers:

1. Can my child come audition at anytime? No – we only have time to audition the parts in that section at the designated times.

2. Will any child not be chosen? All children will be given a part who complete all the requirements by showing up at their slotted audition time, signing the commitment contract, attending alll rehearsals and who are currently enrolled in a Tulsa dance program.

3. What are the excuses for missing a rehearsal? Death in the family or illness. (Preplanned expensive trips or weddings are excused if written on audition sheet).  Please be aware that too many activities that conflict, may keep your child from being able to participate in his/her role.

4. What if my child does not show up and I do not call? Not notifying the staff will cause removal of the student from the production.

5. Who will cast the ballet? The Choreographers.

6. Can we specify what role we want? No, each child's role is determined by age, height and skills level.

7. Can we refuse a role? Yes, however, no other role will be offered and the student will have to wait one year before auditioning again.

8. Can we watch the audition? No, the room is only large enough for the students and choreographers.

9. Can we inquire what our child can do to improve their chances during auditions? Yes, via e-mail only.  Please email:  stcb2008@aol.com for any questions.

10. Can we stay during the audition? No, due to fire codes and the number of people allowed in the studio at a time and the next group traffic flows we ask that all parents or guardians please not remain inside the building.

11. Will auditions go over the slotted times? No, all audition times are set and adhered to.

12. Why do we have to pay a five-dollar administration fee? For copying and shipping.

13. Any suggestions on attire for auditions? Leotard and tights are a must. Hair in a bun with bangs back shows choreographers a clean ballerina. No skirts. Pointe students must bring soft pointe shoes.

14. How many casts? Three to four.

15. How many shows will be required for my child? A minimum of one.

16. Will there be any cost? No, except for tickets to attend the play and the $5.00administration fee.
